Rob Fowler Biography
Rob Fowler is an American meteorologist working for WBCD as a Chief Meteorologist since September 1987. He has been working for the station for three decades.
Rob Fowler Education
Fowler attained his Broadcast Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University and his communications degree from Georgia Southern University. He also studied weather and Oceanography at Portland State University in Oregon.

Fowler is a meteorologist who had previously worked for other TV Stations prior to joining WCBD. Prior to WCBD, he worked for TV Stations in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Savannah, Georgia. He is also a proud member of the American Meteorological Society as well as the National Weather Association.
Fowler has also managed to win several awards including the Seals of Approval from both weather organizations. He was named “Meteorologist of the Year” by the National Weather Association after he enclosed Hurricane Hugo. Fowler is married and has three children and is super active in the community.
He finds pleasure in giving her time and efforts to several organizations so as to be part of helping those who are in vulnerable conditions. Fowler often pays a visit to thousands of Lowcountry school children every year. He also hosts school tours of News 2’s state-of-the-art broadcast facility.

Fowler was also a nominee for this award by members of the United States Marine Corps for his tireless efforts each year to collect and distribute toys for Tots in the Lowcountry. Best Weathercaster and TV Personality by readers of the Post and Courier included. Best TV personality by readers of Mount Pleasant Magazine was also one of the awards he got.
