Garrett Dearborn Biography
Garrett Dearborn is an American Anchor/Reporter/Director best known for his time with KTVN Channel 2 News where he served the station as a Sports Director since 2011. Prior to this, he was serving the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter between 2000 and 2011. After serving the station for more than a decade, he retired on 30th September 2022.

He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in the year 2017 and is a Heisman Trophy voter. The Washington State University graduate left University and got his first job working as a General Assignment Reporter for KBIM-TV in Roswell, New Mexico.
Later on, after some time there, he left for Great Falls Montana where he was working with KFBB-TV to serve as a weekend Sports Anchor which eventually led to the position of Sports Director. The year 2000 saw him come work at KTVN as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. Later on, he went on to become a Sports Director in the year 2011.
Away from work, some of his hobbies include playing golf, tinkering with home theater stuff, watching sports, and weight training. Among his proudest moments for him in broadcasting includes Covering Nevada Basketball’s two Sweet 16 runs in the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, his other proud moment is interviewing former President, Gerald Ford. Asides from this he counts it a privilege to golf with and get tips from Hale Irwin.
