George Faust is an American anchor/reporter/director working for KLFY as a sports director and he can be seen broadcasting sports news on weekdays evenings at 6 pm and 10 pm. He joined KLFY in July 2003, as a weekend sports anchor till June 2005, when he was promoted to sports director. 

In 1993, Faust graduated with a diploma from Archbishop Rummel High School. He then joined the University of Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and a minor in Southern studies in 1997. Before he joined the KLFY team, he worked at KPLC-TV station in Lake Charles, Los Angelos from 2003 to 2005, and while he was there, he served as the weekend sports anchor.

He has also worked at WMDN-TV in Meridian, Mississippi, and at WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi. In addition to his duties at KLFY, he also serves as the anchor of the award-winning High School Football Show known as 1st and Ten, and Louisiana Open Extra which is a  special on the Web.com Tour event in Broussard.

With his help, the KLFY News 10 Sports created its High School Basketball Show in Louisiana known as Full Court Press. Furthermore, Faust has been in the journalism business since he was a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Los Angelos as he interned at WWL-TV in New Orleans and at WWL870AM.

Throughout his career, he has served as both a news reporter/anchor and a sports anchor/reporter. His favorite moment in his career was covering the 2009-2010 New Orleans Saints along the journey to the franchise’s first Super Bowl Championship.

He also recalls getting the chance to conduct a one-on-one interview with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus while he was in the sports business. While serving as a news anchor and reporter, he can recall speaking with James Meredith who is the first black student at Ole Miss however, his biggest story was covering Hurricane Katrina.

For his work on the show Ole Miss Football with David Cutcliffe, he won a Communicator Award. Furthermore, he has also won a number of awards during his career. During his leisure time, he enjoys cheering on the New Orleans Saints, Pelicans teams, and Chicago Cubs baseball teams, and spending ample time with his family.
