Grace McKenna is an American journalist who serves on the WHAS11 team since May 2021 as a multi-skilled journalist. McKenna was born and raised in Atlanta, so she understands Louisvillians’ love for their hometown. She’s ecstatic to arrive in a city that exudes the same enthusiasm and pride in its roots as her own.

Grace earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina Honors College (go Gamecocks!). She can be seen watching Gamecock football on TV on any given Saturday in the fall.
Grace relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee after graduating from USC to begin her career as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WRCB-TV. She worked as a morning reporter for most of her two years in the Scenic City. That’s where she learned the true value of excellent news: providing a community with both the critical facts it requires and the human stories it craves.
Grace covered everything from important elections to a terrible tornado outbreak to the resumption of major events after COVID limitations were lifted while in Chattanooga. Grace is passionate about telling the story of the people and places in her community. The whole story is always more complicated than the headline, and she is obsessed with figuring out how and why events affect people’s lives.
McKenna can be found baking in the kitchen, working out at the gym, or reading and relaxing outside when she is not in the newsroom. She enjoys spending time with her cat, Walter, as well as socializing with her friends and discovering Louisville’s cuisine scene (hit her with some recommendations, local hidden gems are a must).
