Brooke Hasch is an American journalist who serves as a reporter and anchor for WHAS11’s WakeUp morning show.
She started her career in journalism more than a decade ago, graduating from the Mizzou Mafia with a bachelor’s in journalism. She began covering general assignments and political news in Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri at KOMU 8 News and KMOX Radio. From there, she headed for KHQA News, in Quincy, Illinois. It’s the smaller markets where you learn the most, and that she did. She was a reporter, anchor, and producer on the same shift.
Hasch came back home to Louisville in 2013. She has covered record snowfalls, the Opioid crisis, childhood cancer rates, and the game-changer called immunotherapy. She has shared stories from her veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD and their work-related illnesses not covered by the state.
