Then he attended Northeastern University from 1989 to 1992 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. He works for WTVR-TV as a Storyteller/Anchor. He joined WTVR in October 2000. At WTVR, he juggles many different responsibilities. He produces two weekly franchises “Heroes Among Us” on Thursdays and “I Have a Story” on Fridays. Then he anchors the “CBS Weekend Morning” show on Saturdays and Sundays with his colleague and friend meteorologist Mike Stone. During his time here, he had some remarkable experiences including flying to and sleeping on the U.S.S. George H.W. Bush and U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Also, he had the opportunity to fly with the Blue Angeles and witness countless brave sailors and marines leave for and return from the War on Terror.

He went on to travel across the pond to England in the spring of 2005 to explore the historic link between the U.K. and Virginia for the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. In 2007, he had an incredible return to England and worked at BBC in Kent, England. Since 2014 each week, he has had the pleasure of producing a segment called “Heroes Among Us”. There, he shares the stories of people who are making a positive impact on Central Virginia. Also, he produces a weekly segment called “I Have a Story” which features little-known Virginians with remarkable tales to tell. Prior to joining WTVR, he worked for NECN as a Reporter from June 1998 to October 2000. There, he covered a wide range of New England and national stories including the 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.

During his tenure there, one of the most memorable moments was interviewing former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev and Buzz Aldrin, the second human to walk on the moon. Moreover, one of the most heart-wrenching stories he ever had to cover was the deaths of six Worcester firefighters who lost their lives in a cold storage facility during a fire in December 1999. Prior to that, he was a reporter at WVII-TV from March 1997 to June 1998. One of the highlights during his time there was flying on a National Guard tanker over the Atlantic Ocean during a refueling mission involving eight F-16 fighter jets. Moreover, he had the opportunity to play a bit part in the Stephen King film “Storm of the Century”. From 1993 to 1997, he was a Video Archivist at WBZ-TV, Boston.

He landed a position in 1991 as an overnight DJ at KLHI-FM 101 on the Island of Maui, Hawaii. Also, he spent seven months in Dublin, Ireland, and Belfast, Northern Ireland during an exchange program called “Ireland: North and South”. He then worked in the Irish Parliament as a political intern while studying at the Institute of Public Administration in Dublin and studied at Queen’s University and worked as an intern with the BB’s “Good Morning Ulster” radio program in Belfast. In his spare time, he likes traveling the world and hunting for Civil War relics with his metal detector on old battlefields. He has been tracking down and interviewing the soldiers who served in the 692nd Tank Destroyer Battalion during WWII for the last several years. In 2006, he produced an award-winning two-part series on his involvement and search for veterans called “Soldier In the Photograph”.
