Intisar Faulkner Biography
Intisar Faulkner is a prominent American anchor working for WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. She joined the station in July 2021 and she serves as their morning anchor. In addition to her career in the broadcasting field, she is a co-founder of the ELEVATE Women’s Empowerment Brunch, a networking event geared towards young female professionals. Also, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

At WIS-TV, she anchors from 4:30 to 7 am and at noon three days a week. Intisar got her start in the news on the radio as an anchor for KTTS News in Springfield, MO. During her stint there, she won two Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards for “Best News Series” and “Breaking News Weather Coverage”.
Prior to joining WIS-TV, she worked for Gray Television WTOK, as a Producer from January 2021 to August 2021. Also, she worked at WTOK from July 2019 to August 2019 as a Morning News Anchor. There, she anchored and executive produced for the station’s morning show “Good Morning Meridian”. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she went on to become the producer and host of the station’s Sunday talk show “On The Record”. In early 2021, she produced and anchored WTOK’s first-ever Black History Month Special. From June 2017 o July 2019, she worked for Summit Media Group as an anchor and reporter. Moreover, she was a news anchor for The E.W. Scripps Company from June 2017 to January 2019. Intisar was an Intern for FOX 5 KRBK from January 2017 to May 2017.
And was also an intern at KTVI FOX 2 from May 2016 to August 2016. In addition to her broadcasting career, she has a passion for dancing. After completing in-studio competitions for 18 years, she was a member of the MSU Sugar Bears Dance Team in college. The team completed annually at The UDA National Championships in Orlando, FL, placing in the top 10 of their division every year. She also won first place at the city’s annual; “Dancing Like The Stars” competition while working at WTOK. The competition raises money for domestic violence abuse victims. When she is not working, she likes spending her free time traveling, watching movies, doing DIY craft projects, and exploring new restaurants.
