James Fletcher is an American Anchor/Producer/Forecaster/Reporter working for KRON4 News in San Francisco Bay Area where he serves the station as a Morning News Anchor/Producer/Weather forecaster. He has been working with the station since January 2002.
James Fletcher Education
Fletcher attended the Edward R. Murrow College of Broadcasting, Washington State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication and Broadcast Journalism. There, he studied between 1995 and 1997. She also attended the University of Maryland where she studied between 1992 and 1993. Asides from this, she attended Howard Community College where she studied between 1993 and 1995. There, she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
James Fletcher Career
Fletcher works with KRON4 News, serving the station as a Morning News Anchor. There, he anchors the morning news from 5 am-10 am. He joined the station working as a freelance writer before making her way up to morning news anchor. When he was working as a full-time producer, he manages a number of newscasts which include the KRON4 Morning News and KRON4 News Weekend.
He has also helped in producing the live broadcasts of high-profile programs such as “The S.F. Pride Parade,” “Bay to Breakers,” and “Carnaval San Francisco Parade.” He has also served as a weathercaster in the KRON4 Morning News team. Prior to joining the KRON4 News team, he was working as the main evening anchor for the NBC Station in Chico(KNVN-TV). He states that during his time there, he also served as morning anchor and occasional host for “North Valley Viewpoints.” This is a weekly roundtable discussion on local issues.
He made a move to California from the Pacific Northwest where he was anchoring news updates for a local cable company in Moscow, ID. Previously, he also spent time in Maryland where he was hosting two Public Television programs, “Performance Profiles” and “Backstage News.” Both programs were highlighting local performers and artists.
He has worked in television news since the year 1993 and states that the Bay Area is by far his favorite part of the country to live in. He states that he has spent time in Maryland, the Pacific Northwest, and Maryland. James states that everything he learned about all those places he has found in the Bay Area. Asides from this, he states that he hopes everyone realizes what a special place the area is.
