Jane McGarry is an American journalist who has worked for Jane McGarry Media since 2013, where she teaches founders, executives, and entrepreneurs how to effectively communicate their brand message. She has been the editor-in-chief of JaneMcGarry.com since 2014. Previously, she worked for WFAA in Dallas, Texas, for 12 years, from 2013 to her departure in March 2025.

McGarry anchored and reported for the “Texas Legends” series, a daily lifestyle and information program. She has worked in Dallas-Ft. Worth television news for over 3 decades. During this time, she has received a Lone Star Emmy Award for Best Newscast in Texas, a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for broadcast journalism, and the National Gracie Award for Best Local News Anchor in the Country.
McGarry is a member of the board of the AiRS Foundation, which is dedicated to providing women around the world access to reconstructive breast surgery, as well as the Communications Committee of the world-renowned Dallas Museum of Art.
McGarry is interested in social justice and does extensive work with the Black Academy of Arts & Letters, which is dedicated to helping youth who aspire to a career in the arts. During her downtime, she enjoys food, travel, and interior design.
