Janelle Hall is an American Emmy Award-Winning journalist working for WTAE serving as an anchor. She joined the station back in 2004.

Hall co-anchors Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 weeknights at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. She had also worked for other stations prior to joining WTAE. For instance, she worked as a reporter in Erie, Pa., and South Bend, Ind., and served as an anchor for two stations in Ohio. Her career started when she was hired by two radio stations in her hometown at the age of 16 and later on attended Kent State University where she graduated with a major in broadcast news and a minor in criminal justice.
Hall has also managed to win several awards including an Emmy and a national William Randolph Hearst journalism award for feature writing. She is also on the advisory committee of Lending Hearts and is one of the hosts for WTAE’s annual Project Bundle-Up Telethon. She also loves sacrificing her time and efforts as an emcee for various charity events for groups like the American Heart Association, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Autism Speaks. Hall lives in the North Hills area with her husband and three children.
