Janice Yu Biography
Janice Yu is an Asian Reporter/Anchor working for Fox 5 News since joining the station in October 2019. Before coming to Atlanta, she worked in Tucson, Arizona where she worked as a breaking news anchor, fill-in anchor, and reporter. When she was younger, she spent some time in Texas and South Carolina, but she calls Tucson home.

During her time in Tucson, she reported on a wide range of stories including local features, Senator John McCain’s last senate run, issues along the U.S. – Mexico border, and campaign rallies during the 2016 presidential election. She as well had a once in a lifetime opportunity to fly with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in March of 2019. Yu will be proud to tell you she was able to pull 9 G’s and even flew the F-16 jet!
Previously, she spent time reporting and anchoring in El Paso and Amarillo, Texas. Yu graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in journalism. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, working out, and exploring new places to eat. Yu also enjoys spending time with animals, including her poodle and rabbit. She also has swum with a pet a sloth, and otters, taken a selfie with a kangaroo and played with penguins.
