Jared Broyles Biography
Jared Broyles is an American anchor working at WIBW-TV where he serves as a morning and midday co-anchor a position he took up in May 2021. He joined WIBW-TV in December 2020, as a digital news content manager.
In 1995, Broyles joined Panola High School where he graduated with a diploma in 1999. Later on, he joined the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and broadcasting in 2002. After graduating, he was able to secure a job at the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas where he served as a producer, reporter, and later weekend anchor for a period of 9 years. In addition, Jared’s most memorable stories included telling the story of a young girl with terminal cancer who desperately wanted to meet his biological father.
Another treasured memory he has was when he spent 24 consistent hours with a photographer while they covered a devastating tornado that hit Waldron, Arkansas. For a number of years, he worked as a non-traditional teacher and the director of communications for Lavaca Public Schools whose district is not far from Fort Smith. Prior to Jared launching Foster the Cause, he worked as an evening anchor for 4 years. Foster the Cause is a ministry that works to recruit, support, and train new Christian foster and adoptive families through local churches in Northeast Kansas.
Furthermore, Broyles has also worked and volunteered as a child advocate for three years which he is very passionate about. For several months, he worked at WIBW as the digital news content manager whereby his work entailed managing the station’s website, OTT desk, and social media accounts. When he got the opportunity to work as a morning co-anchor he took up the job willingly.
