Jarvis earned his B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles. He interned with Fox Sports Radio, the Fox 5 Morning News in San Diego, and ABC 7’s sports department in Los Angeles throughout his college career.

These tales helped him win the Steve Fishman Memorial Scholarship, which is given to a student who has demonstrated a strong aptitude for broadcasting sports, news, or other programming.
