Goetz joined the WCYB team as a weekend sports anchor in 2010, and later in 2015, he was promoted to serving as the sports director. Pittsburgh is his native home and he attended John Carroll University where he graduated with a degree in communications.
In addition, Goetz starter his journalism career in Pittsburgh at KDKA-TV where he served as a sports producer. Furthermore, he secured his first on-air job in Bluefield, West Virginia where he worked for two years as a weekend sports anchor.
