Jenna Maddox Biography

Jenna Maddox is an American former multimedia journalist and anchor/reporter who is best known for her time at WMBB News 13 where she was a multimedia journalist. She joined WMBB, in March 2021, and later in August 2022, she left the station. She has been working as a Marketing & Events Coordinator for Parks & Rec at the City of Gallatin, since she left WMBB.

In 2016, she joined Gordon State College where she earned an Associate of Arts in communication in 2018. She then joined The University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and communication studies in 2020.

Georgia is Maddox’s native home, and since she was 13 years old, she has always been passionate about broadcast news. While she was in middle school, she served as an anchor for her school’s morning news program. While she was in college, she intern at WGXA, the ABC & Fox affiliate in Macon, Georgia in its news department. In addition, Jenna also worked as a freelance journalist and she showed her true passion for video storytelling.

In addition, Maddox is a proud member of Di Gamma Kappa, UGA’s professional broadcast society. Through Di Gamma Kappa, she has met and connected with a number of internationally and nationally recognized journalists and news personalities. Jenna also worked for Grady Newsource which is a student-run news broadcast serving the Northeast Georgia area where she served as a reporter and anchor. Furthermore, while she worked with Grady Newsource, she served as the main anchor for the three-hour life, historical 2020 Election show.
