Jim Benemann is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Anchor working for CBS4 News where he serves the station as an Evening Co-anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 PM. He co-anchors the news alongside Karen Leigh and happens to be an outstanding journalist and an exceptional communicator.

Benemann works with CBS4 News where he serves the station as a co-anchor for the evening news. His passion for his work and his commitment to the community make him one of the most respected broadcasters in Colorado. His anchoring and reporting background has included major assignments on national, international, and local stories.
Benemann established a broadcasting bureau in Washington D.C., where he was covering Capitol Hill, and political campaigns and sent home reports from Europe, South America, Cuba, and Korea. The Chicago native attended Colorado State University. There, he obtained a Degree in Broadcasting in the year 1978. His Television news career kick-started in Davenport, Iowa but Jim and his family have always felt at home in Colorado. Prior to her return to CBS4 News, where he had anchored the news in the early 1990s, he worked for KUSA-TV still in Denver. Previously, he has also worked at KGW-TV in Portland, Ore.
Benemann has been awarded an Emmy for his story titled, “Marijuana in Colorado” which was his 8th Emmy Award win. His most memorable interview is about the Veterans visiting WWII battlefields.
