John Kosich Biography
John Kosich is a 10x Emmy Award-winning American Reporter working as a political reporter at WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined the station in April 2005 after working for WKYC-TV.
John Kosich Education
Kosich started his higher education at Ball State Teachers College. He later furthered his education at Temple University and sharpened his journalism abilities and interest in the craft. At Temple University, Kosich was an active student participating in several activities. He soon actively participated in class debates with professors, peers, and guests and topics covering literature. At WKBW-TV, Kosich went straight into the core of the political life in Buffalo, participating in morning news anchoring with responsibilities of reporting elections, legislations, and other community events- all featured on Channel 7. At WNEP-TV, he further focused on local affairs and spun a story that depicts the Pennsylvania region’s social fabric while working at 5 & 11 p.m. Anchor.
Kosich also anchored for WMGM-TV a New Jersey-based television station in Atlantic City for 4 years from 1990 to 1994. Here, he traced the essence of the Big Band era with Merv Griffin, the world of show business, with Tony Bennett, and dissected the mystery behind songs such as ‘My Way’ and ‘Three Coins in a Fountain.’ Also, at KQTV, he served as a Weekend Anchor, Reporter, and Weatherperson.
His contributions to federal and state politics established him further and perceptive reportage on the Jewish quarter. Kosich also interviewed American Presidents of the United States: Biden, Trump, and Obama, and also traveled with Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis. Another interview was with Charles Ramsey, who assisted in rescuing three kidnapped women in Cleveland; the video got more than 100 million views and was used to create the song “Dead Giveaway,” in the form of an autotune.
