Joseph Hennessy Biography

Joseph Hennessy is an American multimedia journalist working at KCTV where he serves as a weekday and weekend meteorologist. He joined KCTV in May 2022, after previously working at WIBW TV where he was the weekend morning anchor. 

Hennessy set his mind on becoming a journalist when he was a child and he would come home from school and watch SportsCenter which was hosted by Stuart Scott,  Scott Van Pelt, and Chris Berman who he would imitate. He resided in two different towns including the suburbs of Chicago for 4 years and in Ohio, Washington Court House.

While in high school, he played football and basketball against some of the best players in the country. In August 2012, she joined Oswego High School where he graduated in May 2016. Later on, he joined Ohio University where he studied in its E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with specializations in Electronic Media and Sociology and graduated in May 2020.

While he was on campus, he volunteered with WOUB-TV where he worked for there years while he was there, he held positions such as; reporter, anchor, multimedia journalist, and host of Gridiron Glory. In addition, he served as the host of the 21st season of Gridiron Glory during his senior year and also reported for and anchored the daily news show that covered Ohio University wrestling and baseball.
