Juli Marquez is an American Meteorologist working for Bay News 9 serving the station as a Weekday Morning forecaster. She also works as a Reporter and brings the latest from Klystron 9 every weekday.
Juli Marquez Education
Marquez earned an honors degree in communications from Loyola University Chicago and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. She is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds a meteorology certification from Mississippi State University.

Marquez works with Bay News 9 where he serves the station as a Morning Weather forecaster. The Chicago native is a proud graduate of Loyola University Chicago where she obtained a degree in communications and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.
Marquez earned her meteorology certification from Mississippi State University. Marquez is a proud member of the American Meteorological Society. Asides from this, she is one of the first dozen women to earn the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal.
Marquez is also a certified Hurricane Awareness instructor with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center. Asides from this, she also participates in hurricane expos and talks to local schools and community groups about weather safety and preparedness.
She kick-started her career working with WTVO-TV in Rockford, Illinois. Asides from this, she also works at KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska for about three years. This was prior to joining Bay News 9 in the year 2002. Since then, she has also been recognized for her coverage of severe weather in Tampa Bay.
She has also been nominated for an Emmy Award in the year 2011 for hours of live coverage of tornadoes that moved through Tampa Bay. Asides from this, she was also nominated for another Emmy in the year 2016 along with other members of the Bay News 9 Morning Show team. This was for continuing coverage of early morning tornadoes.
This also includes several Associated Press Awards for tornado coverage and an Associated Press Award for a children’s weather educational special. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding bikes, attending her children’s gymnastics and hockey events, and trying to find the time to read more books.
