Kelly Ring is an American three-time Emmy award-winning anchor working at FOX 13 where she serves as the co-anchor of the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscast. In October 1985 was when she joined the FOX 13 News team.

She attended the University of Missouri where she earned a journalism degree. Furthermore, while she was at the university, she was actively involved with the university’s on-campus television station and the Columbia, Missouri NBC affiliate.

Ring serves as the co-anchor of the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscast. Dardanelle, Arkansas is her native home, and when she was the age of ten, she knew she wanted to be a writer, and her desire for writing grew as she had the support of her family and teachers.
She was able to secure her first job at WXII-TV in Winston Salem, North Carolina where she served as a general assignment reporter, and later on, she joined FOX 13 from WXII-TV. Kelly’s work has earned her three Emmy awards and a number of other awards.
Prior, she traveled overseas to cover the crisis in Saudi Arabia, the Cuban political, and Russian medical. In addition, on regular occasions, she volunteers her time to a number of events throughout the Tampa Bay area and also speaks to civic groups regularly.
Despite her long and hard hours of working, she appreciates the nature that her country upbringing taught her. Together with her husband and family, she enjoys a variety of activities during her downtime and also loves running along the Florida waterfront, skiing, and reading.

In February 2022, Kelly announced her retirement from television news after 37 years on-air in Tampa Bay. She made the announcement during the 6 p.m. news on February 15, telling viewers, “I remember the first time I walked into this television station more than three decades ago. I was a wide-eyed reporter and didn’t know a single person, but wow, what a journey this has been.” Her last day on the air will be May 25.
