Kellie Cowan is an American multi-media journalist who is working for FOX 13. She joined the FOX 13 news team in February 2016.
Previously, she worked in Syracuse where she served as a news and sports reporter and was recognized annually by the Syracuse Press Club for her news, sports, and spot news coverage. In addition, she started her career in journalism as a sports anchor and reporter covering teams in both Syracuse, New York, and Washington, DC.
Virginia is a native home and she attended the College of William where she graduated proudly. She also attended Georgetown University where she received her master’s. In addition, she had the opportunity to travel extensively through Europe while she was at W&M. Kellie resided in Germany twice and spent a summer teaching English in Bosnia while still working toward a double major in International Studies and German.
She is an avid runner and two-time Marine Corps Marathon finisher and is happy to take advantage of the beautiful Florida weather and snow-free running trails. During her leisure time, she enjoys relaxing by the pool, checking out new restaurants and breweries, preparing a home-cooked meal, and watching a Wes Anderson movie.
