Kendall Morris is an American journalist who serves at WCNC, as the general assignment reporter in Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined the WCNC news team in January 2018.

She was previously based in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she worked as an anchor and reporter for WBIR-TV. She covered key local and regional stories in Tennessee, including tragic school bus crashes in Knox and Hamilton counties, the 2015 Chattanooga shootings, and the 2016 Gatlinburg wildfires.
In addition, she has won an Associated Press award for Best Political Coverage for a six-part series titled “Fines, Fees, and a Flawed System” throughout her work as a journalist. She earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Texas Christian University, where she graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors.
She also interned at KYTX-TV in Tyler, WFAA-TV in Dallas, and KMID-TV in Midland while in college. During the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination, she also interned with Face the Nation and CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley. She worked at TCU360 as a managing editor, team leader, and multimedia reporter while in college.
Her work with TCU360 also earned her first-place wins from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association in News Non-Feature Stories, Audition Tapes, and Television Documentaries. Her birthplace is the Lone Star State. She represented Texas in the 2012 Miss America Pageant, which aired on ABC. She traversed the state as Miss Texas, speaking about her platform “Leukemia: Living for a Cure,” which she created in honor of her father, who was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in 2007.
