Kimberly Donahue is an American multimedia journalist working for WIBW-TV where she serves as a weekday and weekend multimedia journalist. She joined WSAZ-TV in April 2022, after previously working at WIBW-TV.
While she worked at WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas, she served as a reporter on weekend mornings for a period of 2 years. She gained experience as a reporter during the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic then the television news industry was challenged to adapt to health and safety measures. One of her most memorable moments was while she was in Topeka when she assisted in recovering a stolen van that belonged to a veteran who ran a charity. In addition, while she was in Kansas for two years, she covered a wide variety of stories from breaking down the effects of COVID-19 on Shawnee Co. residents to many one-on-one interviews with Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, and a baker’s union strike at the local Frito-Lay plant.
Furthermore, she also worked at New York 1 News where she served as a video editor, and at Fox News Radio as a production assistant. From 2011 to 2015, she studied at Saint Basil Academy. Later on, she joined Hofstra University where she earned a major in journalism and minors in Political Science and Creative Writing in 2016. Philadelphia is her native home and she is happy to be working in West Virginia. During her leisure time, she enjoys going to concerts, seeing Broadway shows, scrapbooking, and reading.
