Kirsten Joyce is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Reporter/Anchor working with KLAS-TV/8NewNow where she serves the station as a reporter and morning anchor. There, she anchors and brightens people’s mornings as the anchor for Good Day.
Kirsten Joyce Career
Joyce works with KLAS-TV where she serves the station as a morning anchor and as a reporter. She happens to be an Emmy-award-winning Anchor and a 2017 Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame Member. Kirsten has been on-air for more than 20 years and has always loved being part of the morning crew.
Among her favorite of living in Las Vegas and working at KLAS-TV is learning about all the different ways people give back to the wonderful community. She also features various non-profits in her weekly “Acts of Kindness” segment and gets her inspiration from viewers who alert her to the many different ways individuals and groups are making the area a better place to live and raise a family.
Joyce has a wonderful opportunity in “Get out and Go,” a segment that was testing her skills as a rock crawler, ice fisher, snowmobiler, and dog musher among others. The year 2006 saw her getting an opportunity to join “3TV’s Arizona’s Family” the number 1 Independent in the country as an anchor/reporter. This was while interviewing President Barack Obama, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Senator John McCain, and Janet Napolitano.
Later on, after four years, she moved back, to Seattle in order to be closer to her family when she was pregnant. There, she was working as an anchor/reporter for KCPQ-TV in Seattle. Asides from that, she has also freelanced with KING-TV, Northwest Cable News, and Microsoft’s MSN.
Despite enjoying spending time with family and friends, her family took her back to Nevada where she exchanged nine months of rain for sunshine. Away from work, she and her husband enjoy traveling, wine tasting, and boating. Asides from that, they also enjoy finding new “happy hours” and discovering all the special things that make Nevada home.
