Kirstin Delgado Biography
Kirstin Delgado is an American journalist who has been working for WFTV as a morning anchor since joining the station in November 2021. Previously, she worked as a morning news anchor at WINK News for 3 years.

Delgado joined Hampton University in 2006 when she finished her high school education. In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Delgado works for WFTV as a morning anchor. Besides her husband and family, she feels blessed to work at Channel 9 Eyewitness News. She is thrilled to be back in Central Florida after 11 years of climbing ranks in the news industry.
Delgado first came to Florida after college to work as a production assistant at WVEN Orlando. She then briefly served WESH before she moved to Columbus, Georgia. While in Columbus, she began WLTZ’s first morning show, produced overnight, edited, and anchored a 2½ hour morning program.
Following her two years in Georgia, Delgado received an offer to serve WOFL as an anchor and reporter. At WOFL, she broadcasted the presidential election in 2016, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the aftereffects of the Pulse nightclub massacre, and many hurricanes, including Matthew, Irma, and Maria.
Delgado won two Emmy Award nominations for her work after Hurricane Maria. Returning to the island after 10 years to witness its ruin wasn’t just a professional effort but a personal one, as she has family living on the island who made it out alive. She holds great pride in telling the stories of those still suffering four months after the storm passed. In this magnitude, she covered an elderly couple who used a cooler to store food because they lacked electricity four months after the storm, passed homeless camps on the beach, and visited her childhood babysitter who shot at thieves in the night who tried to steal her generator. She found many stories of strife and perseverance.
After working at WOFL for four years, Delgado relocated to Southwest Florida where she served WINK as a breaking news anchor. In this role, she cautioned the community of the most crucial news overnight and prepared viewers for their day. She is happy to perform that same task in Central Florida accurately, ethically, and respectfully.
