Kristin Rogers is an American reporter and anchor working with KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She joined the station in October 2020 and serves as a co-anchor of KCRG-TV9 First News and the KCRG-TV9 Morning News.
Kristin Rogers Education
Rogers attended Washington High School, where she graduated in 2011. She then attended the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she graduated with a degree in broadcasting and a minor in speech in 2015.

Rogers interned in the sports department at KETV in Omaha for a summer while in college, having a front-row seat to College World Series Coverage. She also contributed to the ESPNU Campus Connection program where she would cover the stories behind college athletes. Within her tenure, she had the memorable opportunity to shadow Mike Tirico at a Nebraska basketball game. After graduating, she moved back to Cedar Rapids to start working as the KWWL bureau reporter. She covered everything from the Iowa caucus to the 2016 flood. Rogers also contributed to a regional Emmy Award for the ‘KWWL News at 6’ prior to leaving the station in 2018.
She then worked for a digital marketing company in Cedar Rapids. During the pandemic, Rogers began to truly miss her passion for TV news and later began as a reporter at KCRG-TV9 in October 2020. Rogers contributed to a regional Emmy Award for the ‘KCRG-TV9 News at 6 pm: The Funeral of Sgt. Jim Smith.’ Within her tenure as a reporter, she covered multiple murder trials, breaking news events, and follow-up stories. She also covered an interview with a woman who survived an attack from an accused killer in Cedar Rapids in 2022. The story won 1st place for General Reporting at the Iowa Broadcast News Association awards.
She was also on-site briefly after a plant explosion in Marengo which injured several people in 2022. Team coverage of the event and its aftermath gained a regional Edward R. Murrow award for KCRG-TV9. In February 2023, she moved to the anchor desk. She co-anchors KCRG-TV9 First News and the KCRG-TV9 Morning News in her hometown of Cedar Rapids.
Away from work, she enjoys running, biking, shopping, kayaking, and putting outfits together. As well as enjoying caddying for her husband on the golf course, cheering on the Huskers, going out to local restaurants, and every moment with friends and family.
