Kristin Rogers is an American journalist working for KCRG-TV9 as a co-anchor of KCRG-TV9 First News and the KCRG-TV9 Morning News since February 2023. She joined the station in October 2020 as a reporter. Previously, she served a digital marketing company in Cedar Rapids.

Rogers joined the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2011 when she finished her high school education at Washington High School. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Speech minor. While in college, she competed on the track and cross-country teams. Also, she worked at KETV’s sports department as an intern for a summer. In this capacity, she witnessed firsthand College World Series broadcasts.

During the pandemic, Rogers missed her passion for TV news. Thus, she decided to return to the news and joined KCRG-TV9. Upon joining the station, she first worked as a reporter. As KCRG’s reporter, she broadcasted several murder cases, breaking news occasions, and follow-up stories. Also, she interviewed a woman who had pulled through an assault from an accused killer in Cedar Rapids in 2022. For the story, the Iowa Broadcast News Association awards ranked her 1st place for General Reporting. She was on the ground shortly after a plant explosion in Marengo hurt multiple people in 2022.
After graduating college, Rogers relocated to Cedar Rapids where she served as KWWL’s bureau reporter. In this role, she broadcasted everything including the Iowa caucus and the 2016 flood. Also, she contributed to a regional Emmy Award for the ‘KWWL News at 6’ before leaving the station in 2018. After serving KWWL, Rogers served as a digital marketing company in Cedar Rapids.
