Lala Ri is an African American drag queen and reality star from Atlanta, Georgia who is best known for being one of the contestants of Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. 

She is a powerhouse entertainer who is ready to bring her mixture of sexy, classy, and sassy to the competition, along with her charming and fun personality. She got lots of help from Nicole Paige Brooks in the early beginnings of her drag career. Her drag mother is Tamisha Iman, a fellow Season 13 contestant. She is the first queen to compete against her drag mother. She considered herself a “baby queen,” because she had only been doing drag for three years before RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13.

Casting for the thirteenth season was announced on December 2, 2019, via YouTube and Twitter. On January 24, 2020, the casting call closed. On August 20, 2020, it was announced the thirteenth season had been ordered by VH1.

This season features the first trans man to appear on the show, Gottmik, while the upcoming second season of Drag Race UK features two non-binary queens.
