Lauren Donovan Biography
Lauren Donovan is an American Anchor/Reporter working for KIRO 7 News in Seattle, Washington where she serves the station as an Evening News Anchor for the 5-7 PM newscasts. She joined the station working as a Morning Anchor/Reporter.
Lauren Donovan Education
She attended Eastlake High School and is proud to have her roots in the Pacific Northwest. Later on, she went on to join the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism where she studied broadcast journalism between 2013 and 2017.

Donovan works with KIRO 7 News where she serves the station as an Evening Anchor. When she was working in Mizzou, she reported and anchored at the local NBC affiliate, KOMU-TV. During her time in college, she had an opportunity to intern overseas for a European media outlet, views where she was a multimedia intern. In Brussels, Belgium, her work was focusing largely on the European Union. While interviewing members of Parliament where she covered trade relations, Brexit, and the unsettling aftermath of three suicide bombings. Later on, she moved to the cornfields of Des Moines where she went on to work with KCCI-TV.
While she was working at the CBS affiliate station, she was privileged to receive an Emmy nomination and an Iowa Broadcasting Association award for her tornado coverage. She has also covered the Iowa caucuses and the dozens of political candidates who visited the state vying for a Presidential nomination. This included Governor Jay Inslee.
She has also previously interned for King 5 Television in the Greater Seattle Area between June 2015 and August 2015. There, she served the station as a New Day Northwest Intern. Asides from this, she has also worked as a Contributing Writer for IBUKI Magazine in Seattle Washington. There, she worked between August 2012 and April 2013.
This is in addition to serving as an On-Air Host for Nico Nico Douga, Inc. in the Greater Seattle Area. There, she served between February 2011 and July 2012. Asides from this, she has worked with Nordstrom in Seattle, Washington where she was the station’s B.P. Blogger. There, she served between October 2010 and November 2011. Prior to this, she was working as an Intern at UNICEF in Copenhagen Area, Denmark. There, she served between July 2009 and August 2009.
