Lauren Lowrey is an American anchor and podcast working for WSMV-TV as a primary anchor and reporter at 4 pm, 5 pm & 6 pm. Previously, she worked at WISH-TV in Indianapolis as a morning anchor.

During her career at WSMV-TV, she covered a variety of news including the 2020 Christmas Day bombing, the deadly midstate tornadoes in 2023 and 2020, and the 2023 deadly Covenant School shooting. Most recently, Lauren helped open up the ranking podcast called the AMPstigator video podcast in 2022. In addition, she has also been named under the list of Top 40 Under 40 in 2023.
Before joining WSMV-TV in December 2018, Lauren worked as a morning anchor at WISH-TV in Indianapolis. Her coverage included the largest single-day sporting event in the world and the Indianapolis 500. For her outstanding work, she was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists as being the best anchor. She served the station for seven years and six months from June 2011 to November 2018.
Earlier, Lowrey spent nearly three years working as a morning anchor and reporter at WTOL in Toledo, Ohio. She also co-anchored the weekday morning newscast from 4:30a to 7 am. On top of this, she also created a show called “More for Your Money” which aired at 5 pm from September 2008 to May 2011. For her work at the station, Lauren received numerous awards including the Edward R. Murrow Award and Emmy awards.
Lowrey started her professional career at WPDE-TV 15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she served as a morning & noon anchor. During her time at WPDE-TV, she was in charge of editing, gathering news, and writing scripts. She spent two years and eight months working for the station from February 2006 to September 2008.
