Lauren Pastrana is an American newscaster working with CBS4 News-WFOR as the co-anchor of the weeknights news at 5, 6, 7, and 11 p.m. She joined the station in Miami in April 2012 as a reporter.

Pastrana attended the University of Florida, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications-News and a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership. Pastrana worked as an anchor and reporter for WUFT-TV in Gainesville. There she was part of the team responsible for launching a Spanish-language web-based news service targeting Alachua and the surrounding counties titled AM859: Noticia en Espanol. She then joined WIOD as a reporter and afternoon news anchor. Pastrana covered everything from Super Bowl XLIV to local political corruption and also spent a season as an in-stadium reporter for the show ”Miami Dolphins Game Day Live.”
She then moved to South Florida to work with WINK-TV, the CBS affiliate in Fort Myers, as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Pastrana later became a full-time weekday evening reporter on CBS4 and served as the anchor of CBS4 News This Morning for 5 years. While anchoring the morning show, Pastrana launched on-air franchises such as ”Lauren’s List” and South Florida Survivors,” assisted in getting pets adopted in her weekly ”Dogs in the City” segment, and chatted about sports daily during ”Talkin’ With Joe.” She also assisted in leading CBS4’s coverage of historic events such as hurricanes, elections, the death of Fidel Castro, the coronavirus pandemic, and the social justice protests of 2020.
When she joined CBS4, she was also doing double duty as the morning news anchor at Newsradio 610 WIOD. She is an Emmy-nominated, multimedia journalist with experience in television, radio, and web-based news reporting. Away from work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, children, and dog named Daisy.
