Leslie Rubin is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WCHS-TV in Charleston, West Virginia as an Assistant News Director. She joined the station in September 2010 after working for WDTV as a News Reporter.

Rubin earned her high school diploma from George Washington High School. She continued with her studies for higher education at West Virginia University where she graduated in 2008, with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Rubin works as an Assistant News Director, and a news reporter at WCHS, a local news station in West Virginia. She was hired in September 2010 as an anchor lead reporter at the station. She was then promoted to Assistant News Director in December 2017. Upon completing her university study, Rubin got a job at WDTV located in Bridgeport where she worked as a one-man band reporter for two years. For years she followed the aftermaths of the disaster and the big trail with the ex-CEO of the company Don Blankenship.
Additionally, she hosted the Fugitives Files for 10 years as a service to the community. She has been in charge of protecting the interest of policemen and women in law enforcement whereby she started the “In-Vest Initiative” in 2012. By this, Rubin uncovered the necessity of bulletproof vests for the West Virginia law enforcers. Because of this and due to the assistance of the viewers and in partnership with the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association, this led to a state law mandating the issue of protective vests to all deputy sheriffs.
During Rubin’s time at Eyewitness News, she has been nominated for nine Emmys and has won other awards from the Associated Press and the West Virginia Broadcasters Association. In 2020, she began a series focusing on unidentified cases in West Virginia as a display of commitment towards the issue and justice.
