Letitia Perry Biography

Letitia Perry is an American anchor and reporter working for WHIO-TV serving as the weekdays and the Noon News on weekdays co-anchor. She has been working for the station since joining in April 2001.

Perry went to Central Michigan University where she attained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs in 1990. Prior to her time in college, she was previously a student at Meadowdale High School where she attained her High School Diploma in 1984.

Perry serves as the co-anchor of News Center 7 ‘s Daybreak Edition from 5-7 a.m. on weekdays and the Noon News on weekdays. She was asked to join the staff of the CMU Public Broadcasting Center, which serves parts of Central and Northern Michigan, as well as the Northern Lower Peninsula. She was asked to host various programs on the television side of the same PBS center while working as a radio producer and host of NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Perry previously worked at WROU 92.1FM from January 1996 to April 2001. Prior to that, she worked at Columbus Bd. of Education/ WCBE Public Radio from January 1992 to September 1995. In addition to that, she is also an active member of the Dayton Area Broadcasters Hall of Fame and was also inducted into the ‘Class of 2019.’

Perry has also worked alongside several committees and boards as well as quite a number of programs all across the Miami Valley. For instance, she worked as Mistress of Ceremony for a ton of programs including The Lou Rawls Parade of Stars- benefitting the United Negro College Fund. She also served as a Mistress of Ceremony for the annual fundraiser for The Mercy Manor Transitional Home for Women as well as NAACP Freedom Fund Banquets.
