Lisette Hernandez Biography

Lisette Hernandez is an American journalist currently working as the News anchor at KSAN. She joined the KSAN team in October of 2019 as the evening anchor.

Lisette graduated from Sam Houston State University in August 2019 with a B.A. in Mass Communication and a minor in general business. Lisette spent her summer in college interning at FOX29 and News 4 in San Antonio, where she was able to shoot her own video for the sportscast and conduct post-game and practice interviews for schools such as UTSA, UIW, local high schools, and the Spurs. She began her fall semester of college interning in the news department at KPRC2 Houston shortly after that ended.

She created, wrote, and hosted her own newscast there. Lisette also contributed to Click2Houston, the station’s popular website, by writing and publishing stories. One of her favorite memories from her time as an intern there was being able to interview rap star and Houston native Travis Scott.

While watching the early morning national and local news as a child, Lisette became fascinated with journalism. It was then that she realized she wanted to pursue a career as a journalist. She enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, visiting new places, and, most importantly, shopping when she is not working. Lisette is very excited to meet and tell the stories of the people of the Concho Valley.
