Liz MacDonald is an American Host/Reporter/Author working with FOX Business Network(FBN) where she serves the station as a Host for The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald. The show airs on weekdays from 6-7 PM/ET. She joined the FBN team in September 2017 working as a stocks editor.

MacDonald works with FBN News where she serves the station as a Host for The Evening Edit. Prior to joining FBN News, she was working as a senior editor at Forbs Magazine. There, she was covering corporate accounting scandals, Washington, D.C., creating “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” annual list, and the IRS. She also covered the IRS, Washington, D.C. taxes, and corporate accounting scandals for the Wall Street Journal with front-page stories, Heard on the Street columns, and editorials. She was also one of the first journalists in the country to sound the alarm in the mid-nineties about the coming wave of accounting scandals.
Asides from this, she broke stories detailing the Church of Scientology’s secret settlement with the IRS and the Kennedys’ use of the IRS to target and audit political enemies and thousands of groups and individuals. This includes Fair Play for Cuba, which was connected to assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and allegations of political audits under the Clinton Administration.
Prior to this, she also worked as a financial editor for Worth magazine and covered the IRS and taxes for Money Magazine. She has also reported an award-winning investigative series on IRS abuses that led to improved taxpayer rights and reforms at the IRS. Through her IRS coverage, she was called in twice to testify before Congress about IRS reforms and taxpayer rights.
