Liz McLaughlin is an American News Reporter and Producer working for NBC News in New York City as the News Correspondent. She joined the station in September 2021 while working as a Climate Change Reporter for WRAL-TV.

McLaughlin attained a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina Asheville and a Master’s in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She pursued graduate studies in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). McLaughlin was also a research assistant for the National Center for Child Advocacy and Protection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
