Madison Schlegel is an American reporter, anchor, and multimedia journalist working with NEWSnet as a National Correspondent. She joined the station in November 2022, and previously worked as a reporter with 9&10 News, in Cadillac, Michigan.

Schlegel attended DePaul University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and communication studies. There she was part of the ”DePaul’s Visting Artist Series” live talk show, and a member of the improv comedy team. Schlegel began her career at DePaul University where she was a reporter and anchor for ”Good Day DePaul” show in Chicago, Illinois. She was involved in all kinds of multimedia journalism roles including filming, writing, and editing news reports. Schlegel was also a cast member of the ”DePaul’s Visiting Artist Series” live talk show at college. She then worked with Heritage Broadcasting in Cadillac, Michigan, as a reporter. Madison also worked with the WWTV team between December 2019 and September 2022 and held a number of roles at the station.
Schlegel became more interested in telling stories while performing in musicals and plays and managing her own broadcasts and shows. She has covered multiple big stories and major highlights including the Great American Volunteer Duck Race, the Ultimate Dog Memorial Toss Competition, and the National Cherry Festival stories. Madison works for NEWSnet serving as a National Correspondent since November 2022.
