Madison Schlegel is an American journalist working for NEWSnet as a national correspondent since joining the station in November 2022. Previously, she worked for 9&10 News in Cadillac, Michigan as a co-host of “The Four.”
Madison Schlegel Education
Schlegel joined DePaul University in September 2015 when she finished her high school education at Joliet West High School. In November 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies.
During her time in college, she was a reporter and anchor for the ”Good Day DePaul” show in Chicago, Illinois. She was involved in all kinds of multimedia journalism roles including filming, writing, and editing news reports.
Schlegel was also a cast member of the ”DePaul’s Visiting Artist Series” live talk show at college. She then worked with Heritage Broadcasting in Cadillac, Michigan, as a reporter. Madison also worked with the WWTV team between December 2019 and September 2022 and held a number of roles at the station.

She developed a passion for broadcasting while performing in musicals and plays and managing her broadcasts and shows. She has covered multiple big stories and major highlights including the Great American Volunteer Duck Race, the Ultimate Dog Memorial Toss Competition, and the National Cherry Festival stories.
