Margaret Orr Biography
Margaret Orr the Chief Meteorologist for WDSU News in New Orleans. She joined the station in 1979 as a general assignment reporter. Orr began forecasting weather for the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. news in 2009 after many years on the morning news.
Orr became co-host of the “Breakfast Edition” with Bill Stanley, and later co-host of the “World’s Fair Show” with Alec Gifford. For over 2 decades, she has co-hosted the Children’s Hospital Telethon with Norman Robinson helping to raise millions of dollars for Children’s Hospital.
She is a member of both the American Meteorology Society and the National Weather Association. Margaret has Seals of Approval from both.
