Mark Kelly Biography
Mark Kelly is an American award-winning anchor/reporter working at WKRN in Nashville, Tennessee as a Weekday Evening News Anchor. He joined the station in August 2022. Before joining WKRN, he served as an Anchor of WPBF 25 News Mornings from 4:30-7 am. At WPBF, he used to keep South Florida informed and helped them start the day on a positive note. Mark also co-anchored WPBF 25 News at Noon with Tiffany Kenney and contributed to the newscast at 9 a.m.
Mark’s reporting and anchoring in the year-long State of Addiction series in 2017 earned him a regional Emmy award in the investigative news special category. Mark also contributes to the ongoing political series Truth Tests, which holds politicians accountable and keeps voters informed.
Mark spent three years as an anchor/reporter at KPIX-TV in San Francisco before moving to South Florida. Mark’s reporting in California earned him a regional Emmy and a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Prior to moving to the West Coast, Mark worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WSET-TV in Roanoke-Lynchburg, Virginia. He began his career in broadcasting at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. Kelly received a Magna Cum Laude from both the Missouri School of Journalism and the university’s Honors College.
