Matt Brode Biography
Matt Brode is an American meteorologist working for KVOA as the chief meteorologist. He joined KVOA in May 2013, after previously working on KOIN-TV as a weekday meteorologist.
In 1990, he joined the University of Arizona where he earned a Bachelor of Science in atmospheric science in 2002. After graduating, he joined KDLH-TV where he served as a meteorologist for a period of 3 years. In April 2005, he relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where he worked at WPBF News 25 as a weekend meteorologist till March 2006. Later on, he joined KVOA-TV as a morning weekday meteorologist and after working at the station for 4 years, he left in March 2010.
In addition, he relocated to Portland, Oregon where he worked at KOIN-TV as a weekday meteorologist till March 2013. From 2006 to 2010, he forecasted weather in Tucson Today. The American Meteorological Society awarded him with their AMS Seal of Approval. During his downtime, he enjoys reading, playing the guitar, and cheering on Michigan.
