Scarano joined West Virginia University (Let’s Go Mountaineers!) in 2016 after finishing her studies at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.

Originally from West Virginia, she attended a performing arts high school for dance and danced the halftime show in the Orange Bowl.
