At the age of 19, she started her career working as the first full-time female radio personality at KQXR in Boise. Ultimately, she worked her way up and started appearing on camera in Boise as a meteorologist and morning news anchor. In 2010, she relocated to Sacramento where she served KXTV as a member of the weather team. In this role, she forecasted during the morning and midday newscasts. Also, she served KXTV as a community liaison. In this role, she led station initiatives and campaigns and helped garner almost $33 million for diverse philanthropic efforts, firms, and non-profits.
She started serving KXTV’s Sac & Co as a host in 2012. In this role, she taped while hanging from the side of the globe’s tallest artificial climbing wall, chatted with John Lasseter at the opening of Disney’s Carsland, snorkeled at Aulani Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, and broadcasted the opening of Disneyland Resorts Star Wars Galaxies Edge. Moreover, she practiced martial arts with Michael Rooker, shared a glass of wine with Greta Gerwig, sang jazz and blues with Tommy Davidson, gave cough drops to the Goo-Goo Dolls, and discussed hamburgers with Smith Field.
During her career, she has received recognition from the broadcast and public relations industry. For instance, she won two Emmys and several Idaho Press Club awards. The Idaho Business Review mentioned her in its list of Idaho’s Accomplished and Under Forty. The National Association of Women Business Owners Sacramento granted her an Outstanding Women Lead ‘Spotlight’ award and numerous other PR and broadcast news honors. In 2000, she represented Idaho in the Miss America pageant.
