Mendez serves as an anchor and reporter for NBC 10 Boston. She previously worked for WFLD in Chicago where she served as the morning show anchor. Ever since she started her journalism career, she has managed to travel to different parts of the country including Denver, Colorado; Jackson, Tennessee; Seattle, Washington; and Champaign, Illinois. In addition to that, she has also managed to enclose major stories including the Colorado theater shooting, Hurricane Aurora and Katrina.
Mendez is also an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She enjoys volunteering with non-profit organizations and foundations including Special Olympics and the American Cancer Society. In addition to that, she also finds pleasure in reading, skiing, and traveling.
