Perchick serves as a reporter at ABC 11-WTVD. He previously worked for KVUE, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas where he worked for about two years. During his time here, he enclosed several stories and events including a South by Southwest and the state Legislature. In addition to that, he also enclosed on severe weather throughout central Texas, deadly bus crashes in Uvalde and Mississippi County, and Super Bowl LI. Furthermore, his work has also been recognized by the Texas Association of School Boards.
Prior to his tenure at KVUE, he worked at WAPT, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi where he served as a news producer and news/sports reporter for about two years. In this role, he enclosed the highly-contested U.S. Senate race between state Sen. Chris McDaniel and incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran, the Senior Bowl, and SEC Media Days. In addition to that, he was also part of the named Best Sportscast in Mississippi which won the Associated Press Award-winning “Blitz 16.”
Perchick went to the University of Miami, where he graduated and doubled double-majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science, and minored in Sports Administration. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys watching sports, refreshing his Twitter account, and checking out some of the area’s cuisines.
