Michelle Bogowith Biography
Michelle Bogowith is an American meteorologist for Fox 4 in Kansas City since joined the station in September of 2012 as the Mid Morning and Noon Meteorologist. You can catch her at 4 am and 9 am Monday through Friday, in addition to filling in for Karli, Mike, and Joe.

Bogowith’s fascination with weather began at the age of seven after seeing a waterspout on a family vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The power and beauty of that storm fascinated and intrigued her. From that day on, during storms, you would be able to find her out on her deck watching the volatility of Mother Nature. She knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up, she wanted to be a meteorologist.
Bogowith decided to follow her dreams and joined The University of Missouri to pursue a Meteorology degree. She graduated from the University as a double major with a Bachelors’s degree in Meteorology and Communications in 2008. In December 2011, she completed her Masters in Meteorology.
She began her career at KOMU-TV 8 in January 2007 as a fill-in weathercaster and moved up in the ranks to serve as the Evening Meteorologist in Columbia, Missouri. While at KOMU, Bogowith was recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association, where she won Best Weathercast in 2010 and 2012. In addition to several reporting awards, including an Edward R. Murrow and a National SPJ Sigma Delta Chi award, for her hard work and efforts in Joplin, Missouri following the May 22nd tornado.
Bogowith also earned her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal (#639) in March 2014 from the American Meteorological Society. During her free time, you’ll see her out at sporting events/concerts with her husband Gary, volunteering in the community, or running around town with their Doberman Dakota and Great Pyrenees Frank the Tank!
