Mike Janssen is an American meteorologist for WGN Weather Center and CLTV. Before WGN-TV, he worked as a meteorologist and reporter at WSIL-TV in Carterville, WYIN-TV in Merrillville, Indiana, Illinois, and WGNO-TV in New Orleans.
Janssen grew up in Kankakee County and credits his father David, a former farmer, with getting him interested in weather. He attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and received his degree in mass communications. He later furthered his education in broadcast meteorology through Mississippi State University.
