Klan works with KEYT-TV where he serves the station as a Sports Director. He is best known as the “Dean” of local sports as he has been covering game stories for News Channel 3 since the mid-1990s. The UCSB graduate also added Sports Director duties for News Channel 12 and Fox 11 News in recent years. The past 25 years saw him being made the Executive Producer and Host of the Emmy-Award-winning Friday Football Focus.
The high school football show is one of the premier prep shows on the west coast, which airs in the fall on News Channel 3-12. She has been able to cover sports on the biggest stage which include Super Bowls, National Championship football games, the World Series, and the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Asides from this, his sportscasts and stories have also won Southern California Golden Mike Awards, Emmy Awards, and Associated Press honors. Away from work, he enjoys raising his children and spending time with his family.
