Mike Maze Biography
Mike Maze is an American Meteorologist working for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina where he serves the station as an Evening Meteorologist for the 5 pm/6 pm/10 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. He has been working with the station since June 1994.
Mike Maze Career
Maze works for WRAL-TV 5 News where he serves the station as an Evening Meteorologist. Asides from this, he also works with Capitol Broadcasting Inc. / FOX 50 – WRAZ Meteorologist since the month of June 2004. Prior to this, he worked with WMAZ-TV 13 in Macon, Georgia as a Meteorologist between June 1991 and June 1994. He has also worked with WSIL-TV in Carterville, Illinois where he was working as a videographer/meteorologist. He worked for the station between December 1989 and June 1991.
In the course of his career at WRAL-TV, he received an Emmy in the year 1997 for working with the WRAL-TV News at Noon. He is a proud graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. There, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology in the year 1989.
Away from work, he enjoys working out, movies and reading, freshwater fishing, going on cruises(and is a huge cruise addict), and community involvement. In terms of community involvement, he enjoys going to area schools and talking to students about what he does for a living. He also listens to what they find fascinating about the weather. He explains that what he loves most about North Carolina is living in an area where mountains are just three hours away in one direction and the beaches are just 2.5 hours away in the other direction. Maze explains that despite the fact that he was born and raised in Miami, the natives of North Carolina have been so friendly ad always have a smile. He states that they have some of the most fascinating weather in the nation.
Maze states that he feels like he became a meteorologist. Asides from this, he has always had an interest in the weather for a long as he can remember. Mike states that when he was in the 6th grade, he used to lie in bed at night listening to his weather radio and hearing the forecast over and over again(his brother Bill always thought something was wrong with him when he did it.)
His dad and he used to sit on the front porch of their house and watch the thunderstorms come in off the Everglades. These displays of lightning were awesome and states that he always enjoyed the time together with him. Being an adult, he still finds weather awe-inspiring. He explains that if one ever sees him in public, he may be found looking at the sky trying to see what they are up to. Maze states that he hopes he never losses his passion.

Maze likes to keep his personal life private and hence has not yet disclosed the year and month he was born. It is therefore not known when he celebrates her birthday. However, he might be in his 50s.
