Kat Campbell Biography
Kat Campbell is an American Meteorologist working for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina where she serves the station as a Weather Anchor/Reporter. She has been working with the station since August 2018.
Kat Campbell Career
Campbell works for WRAL-TV where she serves the station as a Meteorologist. Prior to WRAL-TV, she was working with WAFF-48 News in Huntsville, Alabama where she was still serving the station as a Meteorologist. While there she covered severe weather, tropical storms, and southern winter weather. Campbell worked for the station between May 2017 and August 2018.
Prior to this, she also worked as a part-time weather graphics producer for WRAL, so when she works at WRAL, she feels at home. Asides from this, she has worked for WCTI News in Eastern North Carolina and where she has her on-air experience in Broadcast Meteorology. She has also worked with Carolina Week before.
When she was at NC State, she was the president of the Broadcast Meteorology Club. She also interned for WXII News in her hometown, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Asides from this, she has interned for a weather data and forecasting company, WeatherBell Analytics, in New York City. Campbell is a proud graduate of North Carolina State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology.
Away from work, she enjoys spoiling dogs, finding great deals on dresses, skiing, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, and vegetarian food. Her favorite book is Ginger Zee’s new book, “Natural Disaster.” She explains that she is not a huge fan of movies as she cannot sit still that long. However, she likes TV shows and has been into Silicon Valley, Real Housewives, Newsroom lately, and West World. She states that what she loves most about North Carolina is the 4 seasons, lakes, beaches, and mountains. She also loves the fact that her family is in North Carolina.
