Swaby serves as a reporter and fill-in anchor for KING 5. She previously worked for KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she served as an investigative reporter and weekend morning anchor. She previously worked as a consumer reporter for WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin. Her first job in broadcast journalism was at Tri-Cities, Washington’s KEPR. She is a recent graduate of Arizona State University. She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

Swaby has received several awards over the years, including two Emmys for May Day coverage and an Emmy for a story about Seattle’s homelessness crisis. She was named Reporter of the Year by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association in New Mexico, and she won first place from the New Mexico Associated Press for a story about identity theft. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
